RIVERDALE — A crowd gathered for a prayer vigil Tuesday evening in remembrance of Major Greg Barney, the Riverdale Police Department officer who died in the line of duty while supervising a no-knock warrant Thursday.

Many community members spoke about Barney at the 7 p.m. vigil held at the Riverdale Community Center and remembered the beloved law enforcement officer as an impactful mentor who touched many lives.
