Mrs. Darenda S. McCool, 55 of Conyers, Ga., passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2005. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. at Glenwood Baptist Church in McDonough. Rev. Ralph Easterwood will be officiating. Following the service, interment will take place at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. Born in Atlanta, Mrs. McCool was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church and also participated in various literacy and mentoring programs. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Gary McCool of Conyers; son, Chad McCool; son, Ryan McCool, and his wife, Kimberly, and. daughter, Erin, all of Conyers; grandchildren, Brandon and Jacob McCool of Conyers; brother, Mark and Ruby Strickland, and their sons, Jarrett, Nick, and Devon; aunt, Pat Daniel; nine nieces and nephews; 4 great-nieces and great-nephews; and lifelong friends, Doug and Carol Jones, and their daughter Cassie. Mrs. McCool was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Gillun Strickland, and brother, Steve Strickland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 25, 2005 from 2-8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or those who wish may make donations to the American Red Cross at P.O.
