The fifth-grade classes of Butts County's three elementary schools jointly celebrated graduation from the 10-week Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

The national DARE program was founded in 1983 the Los Angeles police chief and has been sponsored locally the Butts County Sheriff's Office for the last 18 years.
