Mr. Gene Wayne "Boogie" Burdette, 61, passed to heaven April 7, 2005, at home surrounded by family and friends.

Boogie was born on May 24, 1943, in Avondale, Ga. He was the son of the late Sybil Whitaker and G.W. Burdette. Boogie dedicated his life to serving Christ through the ministry of song. Boogie was a devoted husband, daddy, pawpaw, friend and servant of Christ.
