Mr. George R. Brooks, 79, of Griffin died Tuesday, August 9, 2005. Mr. Brooks was the owner and operator of the Consolidated/Brooks Wholesale in Hampton.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Nettie Brooks. Mr. Brooks is survived by two daughters, Lois Pryor and Cathy Buckalew; three grandchildren, Timmy Pryor, Missie McRee and Hope Grinell.
