MCDONOUGH — Less than a month after National Signing Day, Henry County started making waves in NFL news again. This time, it wasn’t about high school athletes continuing their careers in college. Instead, it was about two former local standouts who performed in the NFL Combine in Indianapolis last weekend.

Ola graduate Tre McBride, who attended the College of William & Mary, and Luella alum Detrick Bonner, who went to Virginia Tech, received invitations to the NFL Combine following their impressive showings in college and in the 90th East-West Shrine Game, which honors some of the best college players in the nation.
