Henry County Board of Commissioners recognizes Special Olympians

The Henry County Board of Commissioners, in its Tuesday meeting, recognized local Special Olympic athletes for competing in the State Summer games held recently at Emory University. A total of 56 local athletes competed in various sports such as aquatics, cheerleading, tennis, and volleyball. Local athletes won 21 gold medals, eight silver, 14 bronze, and eight fourth-place medals.
