MCDONOUGH — If approved by voters in November, the continuation of the 1% Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax will include funding for a new Hidden Valley Senior Center, a new 911/EMA facility, a new animal shelter and a new vehicle tag office in Locust Grove — among other projects.

During a special called meeting Tuesday, the Henry County Board of Commissioners approved the SPLOST VI project list; an intergovernmental agreement with the cities of Hampton, Locust Grove, McDonough and Stockbridge and a SPLOST VI referendum to be included on the Nov. 5 General Election ballot.
