McDONOUGH— In what appeared to be an uneasy moment for several commissioners, the Henry County Board of Commissioners approved another fund balance expenditure, this time to fund six new fire department positions.

The $560,754 will be used to fund three lieutenant positions for Station 14 in the Luella area and three captain positions for Station 15 in the Mount Carmel area. Both stations broke ground for construction this year in April and July respectively, with construction funded through SPLOST IV.
