McDONOUGH – The Henry County Extension Office is holding its Walk-a-Weigh program to help residents better understand eating habits and learn ways to prevent or reduce risks for chronic diseases.

The Walk-a-Weigh program is eight weeks long and costs $15 to participate. Each session includes a short presentation, a taste test of a low-calorie recipe and time to exercise.

The program will begin on Monday, Feb. 3, from 6-7 p.m. at the Extension Office. Other meeting dates are Feb. 10, 17 and 24, and March 2, 9, 16 and 23. Registration is required and the deadline is Jan. 31.

The Henry County Extension Office is located at 97 Lake Dow Road in McDonough.
