Henry County included in drought disaster designation

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has designated 21 counties in Georgia, including Henry County, as primary natural disaster areas due to losses caused by a recent drought, the department said in a statement Tuesday.

In addition to Henry County, the area includes Butts, Douglas, Carroll, Fayette, Chattooga, Floyd, Clayton, Fulton, Cobb, Gordon, Coweta, Heard, DeKalb, Lamar, Meriwether, Newton, Paulding, Pike, Rockdale and Spalding counties.
