Henry County school board considers resolution opposing Opportunity School District

McDONOUGH — The Henry County Board of Education is reviewing a resolution to throw its support behind the anti-Opportunity School District campaign.

Superintendent Rodney Bowler presented during Wednesday’s school board study session a draft of a resolution to oppose Gov. Nathan Deal’s proposal to create the state-run district to help turnaround so-called “failing” schools in Georgia.
