Henry County Schools establishes partnership to grow and improve substitute staffing

Mary Elizabeth Davis

MCDONOUGH — A newly-formed partnership will provide Henry County Schools’ substitute teachers with a range of new benefits and incentives, including weekly pay, for the 2023-24 school year.

“Our substitute teachers are a vital part of our workforce, ensuring seamless learning opportunities for students when teachers must be out of the classroom,” said Superintendent Mary Elizabeth Davis. “We are looking to grow, nurture, and invest in our substitutes, and we believe this new partnership makes them more a part of our team by offering benefits previously unavailable to substitute teachers in our district.”
