Henry County's Mathis, other leaders visiting Israel

Special Photo: Henry Commission Chairman Elizabeth “B.J.” Mathis (second from right), is part of a delegation from Georgia that is spending eight days in Israel, for a series of meetings with leaders in that country.

Notable figures in local and state government are in Israel this week discussing possible linkages with the country.

Henry County Commission Chairman Elizabeth “B.J.” Mathis is one of the travelers on the eight-day trip, which was made possible through Project Interchange, an educational institute of the American Jewish Committee.
