McDONOUGH – Henry County Schools’ Mainstay Academy has achieved “Partner in Prevention,” a nationally-recognized public standard to end child sexual abuse.

Spokesman J.D. Hardin said the designation was awarded for Mainstay Academy’s commitment to protecting children by training over 90 percent of its staff and volunteers on how to prevent and recognize the signs and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The academy serves students with severe emotional and behavior disorders.
