MCDONOUGH — The Henry County Parks and Recreation Department has been around for 50 years but has never had a comprehensive master plan — until now.

During its regular meeting Tuesday, the Henry County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the plan, which will help identify community needs, predict future demand, help create a vision for the park system and serve as a framework for the long-term use and development of a park or facility.
