Henry County is moving forward with the next phase of a plan to use federal funds to help low- to moderate-income families in the area.

Commissioners recently approved a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) proposal, which will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The proposal includes a five-year Consolidated Plan, outlining the countys housing and community development priorities over the next five years, and an Annual Action Plan, which provides details for how the county plans to spend grant funds for the first year.
