Andrew Baker with Community Development speaks to the McDonough Council regarding Racetrack Road project during its June 20 meeting.

McDONOUGH — A mini-mart gas station and restaurant will be coming to McDonough in the coming year.

The McDonough City Council approved a rezoning request that will allow construction of a gas station, convenience store and drive-through restaurant at 632 Racetrack Road on Tuesday, June 20. The application, made by Buddy Kelley, was to have the property rezoned from Residential Agricultural, or RA-200 for single-family residence, to Highway Commercial, or C-3.

As if there isn't enough congestion traffic on Racetrack. Whoever brought this forward, doesn't live anywhere near here. Selfish.
