McDONOUGH — When a local woman found herself out of money after she was robbed, a McDonough police officer decided to step in with an act of kindness.

As Officer Corey Harrison stopped at a local Chevron last Thursday he happened to notice a frustrated motorist who seemed to be struggling at another pump. When the officer spoke with the woman — who happened to be in her late 30s or early 40s — she told him she was recently a victim of a robbery and lost all her credit cards and money as a result of the incident.
