LOCUST GROVE — A Georgia senator is pushing for an internal review of a Locust Grove animal sanctuary that has been under the microscope since a bird flu outbreak killed roughly 700 vultures at their site last year.

This week, Sen. Emanuel Jones, D — Decatur, urged Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the practices and leadership at the Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary located at 712 L G Griffin Road in Locust Grove.
