Rick B. James, 79, died Thursday, April 21, 2011 in Atlanta. He was born to the late John Cebe and Winifred Janette (Harris) James. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Willard James. Rick loved to read the Bible, and he taught Sunday School for 30 years. Mr. James is survived by his wife of 52 years, Emma Joyce James; daughters, Vanessa (Gary) McBrayer, of McDonough; Donna (Kerry) Garrison, of Morrow; Hannah (Kevin) Garrison, of Stockbridge; sons, Paul (Lori) James, of Locust Grove; Mark (Andrea) James, of McDonough; brother, Joe James, 15 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and he was loved by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 25, at Pinecrest Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roy Mack officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 23, from 2 p.m., to 4 p.m., and 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at the Funeral Home.
