Kicks 4 Kids Drive Collecting Shoes For Local Students

Detra McGee, left, Stockbridge City Council member Yolanda Barber, Caleb Sanders and Caleb Bragg were on hand Saturday to collect shoes for the Kicks 4 Kids sneaker collection drive. Collections continue Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stockbridge United Methodist Church.

In the fall of 2022, Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy student Caleb Sanders came up with the idea for the Kicks 4 Kids initiative — a drive to supply students from kindergarten to 12th grade with shoes.

Sanders, who is now an ELCA senior, and Kicks 4 Kid are teaming with Stockbridge City Council member Yolanda Barber again this year to provide sneakers for local students.
