LifeSouth now testing donors for COVID-19 antibodies

McDONOUGH — LifeSouth Community Blood Centers are now testing all eligible blood donors for COVID-19 antibodies.

The antibody test is authorized for use by the FDA and detects if someone has developed antibodies to the disease, LifeSouth officials said. A positive test may indicate past exposure and some immunity to the virus.
