McDONOUGH— The inaugural Walk to End Alzheimer’s held in McDonough last weekend was a success, according to the event’s coordinator, Silvia Dennis. The event, held Sept. 24 in conjunction with the 10th annual McDonough International Jerk Festival, raised $5,000 for Alzheimer’s research.

Over 100 runners participated in the walk.
