Georgia Willia Mallette died June 24 at her home in Jackson. She was preceded in death by her father, William Henry Duke; mother, Ruth Elizabeth Duke; and brother, Haden Duke. Survivors include her daughter, Monique Lynn Mallette; granddaughters, Briana Mallette, Kayla Mallette, Angelina Galan-Mallette; son-in-law, Leonardo Galan, all of Jackson; son, Mathew William Mallette, and his five children, Alexander Mallette, Gabriella Mallette, Aron Mallette, Autumn Mallette and Alivia Mallette; daughter-in-law, Lauren Opal Mallette of Tampa, Fla.; brother, William Bill Duke; sister-in-law, Martha Duke of Joplin, Mo.; niece, Barbie Duke; and nephew, Rob Duke. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Hamilton State Bank in Jackson for the Mallette Family Memorial Fund. Georgia Mallette was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson. Services will be held at First Baptist Church on Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m., with a reception to follow. Call Monique Mallette at (678) 752-2026.
