Ruth Hooten Miller, 88, of McDonough, died Saturday, April 30, 2011. She was born in Jenkinsburg, Ga., to the late Wesley Waylon and Beulah Nan (Cowan) Hooten. She was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Miller was also preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Lee Miller, and seven siblings. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Doug) Dennis, of Senoia; Linda Griffin, of Lake City; Rebecca (Ben) Lopez, of McDonough; sister, LaFon Spencer, of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Tiffany Gaddy, Pam Lopez, Tim Lopez, Tony Lopez, Christy Travis, Wendy Travis, Alan Travis, Travis Dennis; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Nathan, Brittany, Chandler, Hudson, Patrick, Nicole; and great-great-grandchild, Audrey. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, May 4, at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Alex Stroud, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 3, from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors.
