MORRIS: Jack-in-the-pulpit a hard to find gift of nature

JACK-IN-THE-PULPIT Arisaema triphyllum

All wildflowers are gifts from God. Some are given to remind us of the consequences of disobedience to God. Just as the thorny varieties create disharmony and pain, so does rebellion against the love God demonstrated through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Yet there are many wildflowers that grace our lives, just as the book of James notes, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows” (James 1:17 NIV).
