MCDONOUGH —Oakland Elementary School recently started a Garden-to-Table program thanks to a $20,000 donation from the Box Tops for Education program.

With the $20,000, Oakland Principal Andrew Johnson and Mental Health and Wellness Facilitator Willie Marie Holmes partnered with non-profit Young Men Rising to start the Garden-To-Table program to build garden beds, plant seeds, and learn all about gardening.
