Public hearings this month for proposed tax increase

McDONOUGH— The Henry County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a millage rate, which will require an increase in property taxes.

According to a press release from the Henry County Tax Commissioners Office, the tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 13.873 mills for the unincorporated parts of the county; 11.405 mills for McDonough; 13.873 mills for Stockbridge; 11.987 mills for Hampton; and 11.967 mills for Locust Grove.
