MCDONOUGH— The bridge over Walnut Creek on Elliot Road will be replaced in 2018, and Georgia Department of Transportation officials are now seeking public input on the upcoming project.

State transportation officials say the existing bridge has posted weight restrictions and that the substructure is in poor condition due to advanced deterioration of the timber piles.
