Public safety promotional pay plan approved by Henry County commissioners

McDONOUGH— Henry County public safety employees will now have a pay plan in place for receiving promotions, the result of Tuesday’s approval from the Board of Commissioners to implement the plan.

During the approval of the Fiscal Year 2017 budget back in May, commissioners included an extra $2.1 million for a pay plan that resets pay for public safety personnel and establishes pay grades to address public safety pay compression.
