Pursuit Of Murder Suspect Ends In Henry County

A man suspected in the Friday morning fatal shooting of his wife in Bibb County reportedly died by suicide Friday afternoon following a law enforcement pursuit that ended in Henry County.

“Earlier this afternoon, a Spalding County Sheriff’s Office deputy alerted by a Flock Camera hit attempted to traffic stop a man wanted for murder out of Bibb county. A chase ensued that led into Henry County from Spalding. The Spalding deputy performed a pit maneuver on the vehicle to end the pursuit near Luxottica. Shortly after the PIT, the suspect shot himself in the head and was pronounced dead,” Spalding County Sheriff Darrell Dix said in a social media post Friday evening.
