McDONOUGH— Newnan businessman and entrepreneur, Richard Mix, has announced that he is running as a Republican for the 3rd District seat in the U.S. Congress, currently held by Lynn Westmoreland.
Mix joins Sen. Mike Crane (R-Newnan) and West Point Mayor Drew Ferguson, also a Republican, in the race. Westmoreland is not seeking re-election.
