It pays to learn about agriculture in the community, according to the Henry County Farm Bureau's Women's Chair, Eleanor Toppins. The agency has announced the recipients of $1,100 in annual scholarships to students who have been selected to attend college, and study an area related to agriculture. Winners of the agriculture scholarships are: Ashley Dalba, of Ola High School, $500; Dona A. Dixon, of Union Grove High School, $300, and Cassidy Long, of Ola High School, $300.

The county's farm bureau also will present its annual scholarships and mini-grants to educators working with students in the 1st-through-12th-grades. A recognition of the winners is scheduled for March 21, during a 6:30 p.m., dinner at the Farm Bureau, located at 117 Racetrack Road, in McDonough.
