MCDONOUGH — Condolences began pouring in Monday morning after word spread that renowned artist Andy Davis died from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash Friday.

Gov. Nathan Deal, who tapped Davis, 53, last month to create a life-size bronze statue of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for Liberty Plaza, said his death is a tragedy for the state.
