Sgt. James Curtis (Jimmy) Gilbert, Jr. 41, Henry County Police Department, of Heard Street, Flovilla, Ga. died early Sunday morning, May 2, 2004 as a result of injuries in an automobile accident in Henry County.

He was born in Spalding County, Ga. Sept. 10, 1962 son of the late James Curtis Gilbert Sr. and JoAnne Scarborough Gilbert Woodall who survives. Sgt. Gilbert has been in law enforcement for almost 20 years, working with the Butts County Sheriff's Department, Henry County Sheriff's Department and Henry County Police Department. He was a member of Flovilla Baptist Church.
