STOCKBRIDGE — The Stockbridge Planning Commission recommended approval of a request to rezone 41.68 acres of land to allow for a major development along Patrick Henry Parkway at its Sept. 19 meeting. The land was rezoned from Rural Residential (RR) to Planned Unit Development to allow for a mix of retail and commercial businesses, as well as residential and entertainment uses.

The development is proposed to be located at the end of Holloway Road and along the northern portion of Patrick Henry Parkway. It will offer townhomes, a professional office complex, retail space, and hotels. Chief City Planner Keedra Jackson said that the city is in need of mixed-use, commercial properties and hopes that this development will help the city attract and maintain young professionals.
