STOCKBRIDGE — The Kids Specialists, Henry Pediatrics has announced their Reach Out and Read program was awarded a $2,000 grant from Target Corporation.

The grant will help secure books given during a child’s well check visit from ages six months to five-years-old. Reach Out and Read is a nonprofit organization of medical providers who promote early literacy and school readiness in pediatric exam rooms by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud.
