The Henry County domestic violence shelter for women and children, soon will get a new home. Occupants of Haven House are expected to move into their new digs July.

A ribbon-cutting was held Tuesday on a $1.7 million facility, at an undisclosed location. The new dwelling is capable of housing 48 women and children, compared with 18 women and children at the existing site, according to Marjorie Lacy, director of Haven House.
