Students attending Clayton State University and many of Georgias other public colleges and universities this fall will not have to worry about putting too much of a dent in their financial budgets. Tuition is only expected to rise 2.5 percent, the smallest increase in a decade.

The action taken by the Board of Regents is part of Gov. Nathan Deals recommendation and the General Assembly agreeing to full funding of the formula for the University System of Georgia. The state legislature increased the USGs budget for fiscal year 2013 by $89.6 million to $1.8 billion.
