Federal authorities are gearing up for a project designed to gauge the inventory of farms in Henry County, and across Georgia.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) scheduled the survey for May and June, to gain insight on production and supply of major commodities for 2012. The endeavor will be conducted through a June Agricultural Survey and the June Area Survey, by the USDAs National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS).
