LOCUST GROVE — After a series of workshops held over the last year with Locust Grove residents, business owners and city staff members, the Livable Centers Initiative study for future plans for the city has been completed.

A representative of Kimley-Horn and Associates, which conducted the study, presented the final draft of the LCI at last week’s city council meeting. Locust Grove was one of eight cities to receive a LCI grant last March from the Atlanta Regional Commission. The grant assists communities in creating “new plans for quality growth and helps develop innovative policies that support more vibrant, connected communities,” according to the ARC.
