STOCKBRIDGE — World Internet Group LLC is siding with the city of Stockbridge, agreeing that all transactions and agreements made by the Stockbridge Downtown Development Authority were invalid. Where the two sides part ways, however, is whether or not a half-million dollar loan made by the city to the SDDA - and ultimately to World Internet Group -should be repaid.
A response filed in Henry County Superior Court Feb. 1 on behalf of WIG consents to the judge’s order invalidating the transaction and agreements between the city and the SDDA. WIG implies in the response that the invalidation includes a $500,000 loan to WIG from the SDDA. The city of Stockbridge — which had transferred the funds to the SDDA in 2013 — disagrees.
