TEEN’S PERSPECTIVE: Your vote affects us!

Jordyn Williams

What does this election mean to teenagers? How can this memorable 2016 election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump affect the future of teens today?

While teenagers, including myself, are not quite old enough to vote, this election is still considerably significant to our lives. When the new president takes office, my peers and I will be 17 years old. When the term ends, we will be 21 years old. Many of us will have taken different paths. Some of us will have gone to college, to the military, immediately into the workforce, and some of us will have begun a family. I must ask, “In four years, how will this election have changed our lives?”
