JONESBORO — As the Clemson Tigers prepare to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the NCAA Division I National Championship Monday, two local citizens will be watching a little more intently than most.
Next summer, Jonesboro quarterback Zerrick Cooper and Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy offensive lineman Chandler Reeves will join the Clemson football program. Both players were confident in their college selection before this season played out, but the potential opportunity of playing for a defending national champion has validated their choice even further.
