HAMPTON — In a matchup of two hot teams to begin the season, it was the Lovejoy Lady Wildcats getting the better of the Luella Lady Lions in an 81-6 victory Monday in the championship game of the Hampton Holiday Tournament at Hampton High School.

Lovejoy jumped on Luella early, opening up a 7-0 lead with 6:11 remaining in the first quarter. Luella fought back, even taking a lead with two minutes remaining in the quarter on a three-pointer by Zaria Bankston. Lovejoy regained a 17-15 lead heading into the second period.
