Former Union Grove standout Elyse Ambrose’s college softball season ended with a big day.

The Columbus State sophomore homered twice in a doubleheader sweep of USC Aiken on March 12, the final day before the coronavirus stopped the season. She closed the day with a solo home run in a 3-0, Game 2 win, which followed going 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and a walk in a 9-1, Game 1 victory.
