(Editor’s note: Pastor Clifford Brewton, his family and neighbors witnessed the end to a massive national manhunt in November 1974 when suspected spree killer John Paul Knowles showed up practically on their doorsteps on Crumbley Road. This is his account of the events of that day as the 41st anniversary of the capture is observed this month.)
