MCDONOUGH — Public safety personnel are called on a daily basis to help save lives, but recently agencies throughout Henry County came together to save lives in a different way at the annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive.

According to statistics provided from Henry County Fire-Rescue, the July 30 drive at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office collected 89 pints of blood.
