MCDONOUGH — Hundreds arrived at Eagle’s Landing High School Sunday evening to pay tribute to the late head football coach Joe Teknipp.
Teknipp, 47, passed away Saturday from complications with stomach cancer. Although his death was sudden, team parents and aides were quick to respond, offering counseling at Radiant Church that same night and putting together a candlelight vigil for the following evening.
